Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

Honoring the Deceased

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.”
