The performer known as D4vd has been named as a suspect in the tragic passing of Celeste Rivas, a adolescent who went missing and was later located deceased inside the singer's Tesla vehicle in September, based on police.

Location of the Deceased

This decayed body of Rivas, fifteen, was discovered in September inside the frunk of a ebony Tesla registered to D4vd, whose actual name is David Anthony Burke. The vehicle had been cited in a Los Angeles neighborhood and then impounded at a tow yard in the city.

Authorities believe that Rivas likely succumbed in the spring, adding that D4vd had apparently helped in dismantling and disposing of the remains. The artist has refused to cooperate in the probe, according to a law enforcement representative.

The adolescent Rivas was first reported missing from her hometown in spring 2024. The body was subsequently found in the artist's Tesla after workers at the impound facility reported a powerful odor originating from the vehicle.

Probe and Formal Remarks

This cause of death has yet to be determined, but the medical examiner's office commented that Rivas “appears to have been no longer alive inside the car for an extended period before being located.” Law enforcement are treating her demise as a murder.

Context on D4vd

This Houston-born artist had been handed a citation in the Hollywood Hills just eleven days before Rivas was located in the car, after overstaying the three-day parking limit. Residents in the area reported that the Tesla had been parked in the neighborhood for several weeks.

Celeste's brother commented that the household was informed that Rivas knew the artist and that she was headed to watch a film with him just before she disappeared.

D4vd, spoken as “David,” is a NY-native singer-songwriter known for the popular songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me.” D4vd and his agent were living at a Los Angeles property in the Los Angeles neighborhood in this past autumn, according to the home's landlord, until police entered the home.

D4vd has contracted with Darkroom and Interscope. D4vd was traveling for performances at the period Rivas's remains were located, but cancelled those shows after the finding of Rivas's body.
