The relatives of teens lost after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an painful wait for answers and pleading for clues about their loved ones via social media.

The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video show the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Emergency services have stated that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which killed numerous partygoers and wounded another 119. A spokesperson said on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to identify the other six.

In the waiting period, relatives have been posting on the internet to request information about their friends who were in attendance that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are still unconfirmed, according to an public plea from his family.

The resident of a town near the city, informed a publication that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the hospital, while his other parent did the same in the capital, but did not locate him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. The options are finding my son in the morgue, or I find him in critical condition. It's horrific," she said.

She continued that some of his friends had been discovered with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they went through a terrifying ordeal."

The Italy's foreign ministry has indicated that a number of of its young people are still unaccounted for.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage promising athlete, who hailed from Genoa but now living in Dubai.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is dead, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "talented young man who embodied passion and authentic values."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around midnight. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is still pending.

Other Cases

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His mother said that he had been on vacation but had gone out with a group and found himself at the venue.

"A close friend told me they escaped after the fire erupted and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers stated, "He was known for his kindness and positive demeanor, alongside great maturity. Often offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also present on that night, according to media.

Her sibling has shared an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the situation.
